J-U-B is excited to announce two items related to our continued and growing presence in the Oregon market.
First, we are starting a transition process to make Rhen Thurgood the next Area Manager for the La Grande office. Rhen is a Professional Engineer currently working in the Boise office who has primarily focused on municipal and utility engineering. He received both his BS and MS degrees from Utah State University.
The goal is to move Rhen to the La Grande office by June, if not sooner.
“We are very excited for Rhen and J-U-B,” says Brian Smith, Vice President and Boise Area Manager. “With his energy and enthusiasm, we have confidence in his ability to help maintain and grow our relationships with clients in the region. We’ll support Rhen, 100 percent.”
The second piece of exciting news is that Shae Talley has been named J-U-B’s Oregon Transportation Leader. She will be in charge of both the growth and execution of transportation work in the state for local entities and ODOT. Working with our Senior Transportation Engineer in La Grande, Tom Wallace, as well as the Idaho and Washington Transportation Groups, our aim is to help Shae grow our transportation market share and staffing in Oregon. In addition to working from our Joseph, OR field office, she’ll act as a “two in the box” resource with Rhen in our La Grande office. Shae will continue to serve municipal clients throughout Eastern Oregon.
Shae is a Professional Engineer in Oregon and Montana and received her engineering degree from Montana Tech. Go Orediggers!
“We see Shae as a leader at J-U-B, and this assignment gives her ample room to develop a great transportation practice in eastern Oregon and continue serving municipal clients,” says Tim Haener, President of J-U-B. “We think Shae and Rhen will be a super team covering all clients in the region and growing our practice in all disciplines.”
