J-U-B Supports Future Drafting Professionals with Donation to CSI Students

In October, J-U-B Engineers visited the College of Southern Idaho’s (CSI) Drafting Technology program to donate Logitech G-502 Hero programmable gaming mice to each student.

George Kinslow, a CSI alumnus, Drafting Technical Advisory Board Member, and J-U-B CAD Technician/Designer, along with RJ O’Leary, PE, and J-U-B Young Professional Central Team Lead, presented the mice and shared insights about J-U-B’s mission of “Helping Each Other Create Better Communities.”

RJ highlighted the path to becoming a civil engineer and the wide range of career opportunities at J-U-B, while George demonstrated how the programmable mice could streamline drafting workflows by assigning frequently used commands. Students learned how the new tools would enhance efficiency and help them develop professional skills.

The visit also sparked interest in civil engineering, with many students eager to explore careers in surveying, civil design, and engineering. This spring, they’ll visit J-U-B’s Twin Falls office as part of their civil design course.

Special thanks to Mark Holtzen, PE, Area Manager, for championing this initiative and to J-U-B’s Executive Committee for recognizing the value of supporting future industry professionals. The donation provided tools that will last for years and reinforced J-U-B’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of drafters, designers, and engineers.
