The Langdon Group (TLG) are proud to announce that the West Davis Corridor project has received the Keep Utah Moving Award, presented at the annual Utah Transportation Conference in November. This award recognizes the innovation, teamwork, and dedication that made this project a success.
As we celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the West Davis Highway’s opening this month, we reflect on its impact on Utah’s transportation network and communities. Spanning over a decade from environmental and planning to construction, the project required creative problem-solving and collaboration to address the region’s evolving needs.
This award celebrates not only the project’s impact but also the expertise and hard work of the teams involved. TLG played a key role from the Environmental Impact Study in 2010 through the project’s grand opening in January 2024. TLG engaged with residents, local governments, and environmental groups, helping shape features like dark sky lighting and trail access. During construction, TLG managed public involvement, coordinating closures and outreach, resulting in an 80% decrease in I-15 traffic during closures. With the highway open, TLG continues to support the project, preparing for the next phase and addressing community concerns.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this milestone achievement. Together, we’re Helping Each Other Build Better Communities—one project at a time.
