The Planning Intern is a unique opportunity to be a key part of a team working with certified planners, landscape architects, transportation, and municipal engineers on a wide variety of projects. The position requires an individual who is excited about being part of a high performing team and has a strong desire to support a broad range of projects.  This position is intended to provide insights into a career in community planning.

What you will be doing:

• data collection, research, and preliminary draft sections for comprehensive and specific plan projects
• support meetings and workshops (develop meeting invites, agendas and notes, logistics)
• support land development application processing (track projects, collect basic information, complete forms for review by Project Managers)
• work with existing Style Guides and create new ones for Word documents (displays, reports…)
• provide other graphic design assistance, as needed

 Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collate and present information, in written and graphic form
• Documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Prepare timely, quality responses

Salary Range: Wage is $16.00 – $23.00 per hour determined by your level of schooling.
