 Position Overview: J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) is seeking an experienced full-time Professional Engineer to work in our Coeur d’Alene (Idaho) office, surrounded by mountains and lakes, and world-class recreational opportunities. The ideal candidate will display a solid foundational understanding of water/wastewater planning and design skills and be ready to enhance our collaborative problem-solving team.

 While applying technical and engineering knowledge and skills, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Assist multidisciplinary design teams and support process leads in the planning, design, and construction of a wide variety of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Wastewater projects include gravity sewer pipelines, pump stations and forcemains. Potable water system projects include groundwater wells, transmission mains, distribution pipes, booster pump stations and storage.
• Work toward becoming an expert in sewer collection and potable distribution system hydraulic modeling, and development of master plan documents.
• Analyze process and engineering data, review existing reports and documents, interpret plans and specifications, and make sound engineering decisions.
• Work side-by-side with other designers, engineers, and project managers on projects from conception to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, operators, regulatory agencies, funding agencies, contractors on project requirements and deliverables.
• Perform periodic fieldwork including construction observation, monitoring equipment installation, and project reconnaissance.
• Build your technical and team leadership skills through active coaching/mentoring and growth opportunities.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
• 5-10+ years of experience as a PE is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in GIS based gravity sewer and/or pressurized water modeling software preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Salary Range:  $ 72,000-$95,000/Determined by experience. In addition to a great salary, J-U-B also offers a competitive benefit package including bonuses for qualified employees and the ability to work in a team-centered, collaborative, and supportive atmosphere.
