Hayden Lake Irrigation District 2 MG Composite Elevated Tank
Hayden Lake Irrigation District (HLID), ID
OVERVIEW

J-U-B developed structural and civil performance specifications for a 100’ diameter steel water tank supported on a 50’diameter concrete pedestal and the structure totaling 160 feet tall to be designed and constructed by a specialty tank contractor. This also included the extensive design and review of all elements of the structure including the tank, pedestal, reinforcing, connections, piping, platforms, ladder systems, paint coatings, and other items required for the tank construction.

J-U-B performed comprehensive QC and QA reviews of construction documents and review of selected manufacturer’s drawings, calculations, and submittals. We are assisting the District with construction management which includes maintaining existing operations at a HLID well-site while constructing the tank and yard piping. The contractor, with J-U-B’s oversight, successfully completed complex site piping connections to the existing 1950s Bureau Cement Mortar Lined Steel Pipe including a coordinated system shutdown.

J-U-B’s relationships facilitated multi-agency coordination with the FAA, Idaho Transportation Department, and the City of Hayden.

We provided public involvement services including the startup of a HLID Facebook page for project messaging. Our landscape architects designed site frontage Improvements a fully landscaped site consisting of drought-tolerant landscape pump to waste reuse.
