Traffic and Transportation – Engineering and Planning
UDOT I-15/Pleasant Grove Boulevard Interchange Area Study
Pleasant Grove, UT
OVERVIEW

Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Region 3 – J‑U‑B completed a planning study that evaluated a frontage road system at the I‑15/Pleasant Grove Boulevard Interchange in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Synchro and VISSIM traffic models were utilized to evaluate traffic operations at 18 existing and 31 future intersections. The study identified the required intersection and corridor improvements to meet current and future demand along with signal timing and coordination.

Based on the results of the analysis, J‑U‑B developed conceptual layouts and cost estimates for the frontage road system, along with a prioritization and phasing plan that can be incorporated in the UDOT 2018‑2023 STIP. J‑U‑B provided/performed data collection, travel demand modeling, traffic analysis, signal retiming and coordination plans, concepts/alternatives analysis, corridor planning and operations, GIS mapping, concept designs, project prioritization, phasing, cost estimates, documentation, and exhibits/graphics.
