Meridian Collection System Facility Plan Update
Meridian, ID
OVERVIEW

The the TheMeridian Facility Plan update included an update of the existing system to account for significant population growth since the previous update seven years earlier. The City’s system now consists of 400 miles of collection lines, 10,700 utility holes, 12 lift stations (3 private), and 9 miles of force mains. Using GIS, actual water usage data for each parcel was allocated in the model and used for flow generation. The CIP included necessary capacity improvement, key infrastructure projects to direct growth, master plan trunk extensions, regional lift station phasing plans, and a specific phasing plan for the southwest area to provide service via inter-basin pumping. The City’s rehabilitation and replacement program were also incorporated into the CIP. (from 2019 Blackfoot WW Facility Plan Proposal)
