The Bureau of Land Management Firefighting Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) Base at the Mountain Home Municipal Airport consisted of construction of aircraft fire retardant loading pads with trench drains as containment, water distribution lines, retardant mixing with primary and secondary containment measures, retardant distribution lines, and a double-lined evaporation pond for retardant containment and multiple utility improvements and security measures on approximately 5 acres.
J-U-B’s Environmental Services Group (ESG) completed biological and water resource surveys and reporting (biological and water resource memorandums) for the project and completed all NEPA compliance (FAA Categorical Exclusion) for the project. The ESG supported J-U-B’s aviation engineers in the project design and coordination with FAA.
