Through a competitive process, J-U-B was selected by the City of St. Anthony and the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) to provide project development services for the replacement of the bridge on South 2nd West in St. Anthony. The existing bridge was reaching the end of its functional use and causing ongoing maintenance issues for the City. Following federal aid requirements, J-U-B led a team in the development of all facets of the project including bridge and roadway design, hydraulic analysis, environmental documentation (CATEX) and permitting, public involvement/coordination, and geotechnical engineering. LHTAC asked J-U-B to complete the project development part of the project within 18 months from start to finish. The project was completed in 14 months and within budget. Bedrock near the surface combined with unique hydraulics and construction phasing limitations required J-U-B to develop a unique bridge foundation plan. Construction will be completed in 2019. As one of the leading transportation design firms in Idaho, J-U-B delivers multiple transportation projects across Idaho each year for its valued clients. We specialize in both bridge replacements and new bridges of all types, span lengths, and configurations.
