J-U-B Wins Big | ACEC Idaho 2021 Engineering Excellence Awards

Each year the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Idaho sponsors the Idaho Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. The competition is to give public recognition to those engineering achievements that demonstrate a high degree of merit and ingenuity, and that provides a major contribution to technical, economic, and social advancement.

J-U-B Engineers was recently awarded three Engineering
Excellence Awards. The awards represented a variety of projects in various engineering disciplines and throughout Idaho.

First Place—Water Resources Category

  • Redwood Creek Pipeline—J-U-B solved Suez’s challenge of supplying water  to northern Treasure
    Valley communities. Seven miles of water main improvements occurred in a short time frame in an area of multiple jurisdictions and numerous residents.

Third Place—Special Projects Category

  • Canyon Springs Roadway ReconstructionCanyon Springs Road is the primary, critical public access road for numerous people, city facilities, and recreation in Twin Falls. The safety of this road has been of concern for years. The City of Twin Falls worked with J-U-B to make major improvements to safety for vehicles and pedestrians, improve drainage, address rockfall areas and long-term maintenance costs.

Third Place—Small Projects

  • Kuna Downtown Revitalization Phase II—J-U-B has been working with the City of Kuna to revitalize their aging streetscape and update it with critical lighting, curb, gutter, and street improvements through the heart of downtown Kuna. This project encompassed a 4-block area next to the original Phase 1 and has created an inviting, walkable, safe downtown area.
