The White City Canal Trail project presented unique challenges:
- Stakeholders impacted by the trail
- Drainage issues
- Ability to cross a ravine in a city park
Considering the steep slopes, sandy soils, and ADA compliance, the J-U-B team, including landscape architects and structural engineers, designed a 10-foot wide, three-span, 350-foot long pedestrian bridge to span the Dimple Dell Park canyon.
The superstructure consists of premanufactured steel box trusses with custom metal roofing. The substructure includes two towering, 45-foot tall piers supported on driven piles. J-U-B saw the project through completion with construction documents and construction observation.
